JustPlainWeird

From eye-controlled cameras to qwerty-keyboard jeans. Here is where technology goes all-out in a weird yet functional way.

EyeSeeCam

This is a guaranteed center of attraction once you decide to strap it on your head. This big, bulky thing enables you to control head mounted cameras just by moving your eyes. Made by researchers of University of Munich Hospital, it is used mainly by doctors in documenting operations, allowing medical students to see the whole, bloody thing.

LED umbrellas

No...these are NOT light sabers from Star Wars. These umbrellas just come with an LED shaft so it can light your way. Some of them even comes with their own flashlights.

Though it's quite ridiculous to look at, making you look like an alien from outer space, or some kind of human-sized Christmas decoration, you can't deny its functionality as a handy emergency tool (or an annoying bug magnet...either way).

Solar Bikinis

Yeah, you read it right. Somehow, technology became the next big thing in fashion.Designed by New York-based multimedia designer and performer, Andrew Schneider, the Solar Bikini uses photovoltaic film strips, and a 5-volt regulator that manages electrical output.

So you can just sit back and relax while you soak up enough power to charge your phone. But whether or not it can actually be used for swimming is a fact I cannot be certain.

Beauty and the Geek Jeans

Talk about functional.Designed by Erik De Nijs, these pants use wireless USB to connect to your computer. Peripheral devices built into the jeans include a
full-size wireless QWERTY keyboard, a wireless mouse that fits into a specially designed back pocket, and built-in speakers at the knee. No doubt these pants are just awesome.

Technology by nature really is weird. But, it is exact proof of our creativity and intelligence.
