For us, humans, whenever you get thinner, you're gonna get scolded by your mom for not eating too much...*when you absolutely know you're a good eater*

But in technology, thinner means better.

 

So... what is TOO THIN in technology?

 

 

 

Keyboard

Last year, CSR, the silicon and software solutions company, unveiled the world's thinnest wireless keyboard. It's only half a millimeter thick and is very flexible.

And don't be fooled by its boring looks. You must be thinking that it's solely for typing and navigating. WRONG!

Its features are FAR from what you're expecting. Aside from being very responsive, apparently, its surface can be used to pick up handwriting or sketches made by a stylus---which could be good for designers.

 

 

Thinnest Smartphones

Lenovo Vibe X

Announced last September and is to be released this month, this hot baby only weighs 128g (4.23 oz)*!*


It also has a 5.00-inch 1080x1920 display and a 13-megapixel rear camera to show off.

 

 

Vivo X3

Announced last summer, the phone sports a gorgeous, 0.26" (5.75mm) thin body, still fitting a 5" HD display, and a top-notch Hi-Fi audio system.

...It's also very PRICEY. But... and for good reason. It's been reported to be thin enough to slice vegetables.

Gionee ElifeS5.5 

Gionee (... said to be pronounced Jinlee in China, and Jonee to... um... well, the rest of the world) has produced a phone 50% thinner than a GalaxyS5. 

 Its exact thickness measure is 5.5mm (0.22 inches) and was dubbed the slimmest phone in the world... before her little sister was manufactured.

Another incredibly thin monitor is this looker. At around .65 inches thick, it has a space saving profile which is sleek and looks good in just about any office.

Viewsonic VX2453MH-LED

It comes with a removable stand and a book stand option which allows you to tilt the monitor back. This creates significantly more desk space and gives you another viewing angle.

MacBook Air

With its elegant style, it looks more or less like a fashion item.


The Air was the first one to banish the CD/DVD-Rom from laptops, and soon everyone followed. This is a slimmest laptop that looks the part, and the MacBook Air gets it right.

Lenovo was one of the first laptop manufacturers to introduce Windows 8 and all of its fancy touch-interface. 

Another fancy thing about it *besides its thin uh,... thickness* is the fact that it is completely convertible and can really do yoga.

Though this is not a complete list, you can bet that the slimmer it gets, the smarter and more powerful it becomes.
